WestJet introduces first Dreamliner on a transatlantic route

Calgary - On April 29, WestJet has carried out its first transatlantic flight on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

The Dreamliner registered C-GUDO took off from Calgary at 20:05 MDT and Landed at London Gatwick at 11:57 BST the next day.

On this flight, The Canadian airline operator has also introduced its new long-haul Business cabin seats.

WestJet currently has three Boeing 787-9 in its fleet and seven more on order. The airline's Dreamliners are configured to accommodate 320 passengers in a three-class configuration.

The Business cabin features 16 private pods with lie-flat seats.

On May 17, WestJet will carry out its first direct Dreamliner flight between Calgary and Paris and launch its new transatlantic route between Calgary and Dublin from June 1st.
