New Delhi - Aircraft engine manufacturer GE Aviation signed a deal with Vistara valued at over $340 million. GE Aviation will supply the GEnx-1B engines for the Boeing 787 fleet of the Delhi-based carrier.

The engines to be delivered to Vistara from 2020 to 2021. Vistara has placed a firm order for six B 787-9 Dreamliner with purchase rights of four more aircraft from Boeing 787 family for its intended medium and long-haul operations.

Last month, Vistara announced orders for a total of 19 Airbus and Boeing aircraft valued at $3.1 billion, as the carrier engages on an ambitious growth plan, including flying overseas.
