Dubai - The United Arab Emirates celebrated the 47th anniversary of the country with a stunning flight demonstration.

On December 2nd, The air force and four national companies of the country carried out a flying show. Seven fighters from the Air Force, an A380 from Emirates, an A380 from Etihad, an A320 from Air Arabia and a 737 MAX 8 from FlyDubai flew in formation to celebrate the country's 47th anniversary of establishment.

The Aviation industry makes a contribution of $80 billion to the country's economy, nearly 15 percent of the GDP. The sector provides employment for over 250,000 people and supports roughly 225,000 indirect jobs.

U.A.E. airlines continue to be among the leading airlines in the world, in particular, in MENA region with significant growth in terms of expansion and modernization.

Major U.A.E. airline operators are Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways (since 2004), Sharjah-based Air Arabia (since 2003), Dubai-based Emirates (since 1985), and flydubai (since 2009).

Emirates and Etihad are full-service airlines, while Air Arabia and flydubai are low-cost carriers.
