Lisbon - TAP Air Portugal's second Airbus A321neo arrived at Lisbon Portela Airport from Hamburg, Germany, where the assembly line of the European aircraft manufacturer is located.
The new single-aisle registered CS-TJJ is capable of carrying up to 216 passengers. The aircraft will soon be deployed on the routes for European and African airports in the Portuguese carrier's network.
This is the second A321neo aircraft that the Portuguese national airline receives this year and the third in the Neo family. TAP Air Portugal put its first Airbus A321neo (CS-TJI) into service in June and, in April, received its first A320neo (CS-TVA).
The Star Alliance operator had confirmed a firm order with the European aircraft manufacturer for 53 new generation aircraft - 15 A320neo (one already delivered), 24 A321neo (two already delivered) and 14 A330-900neo.
TAP Air Portugal currently operates a fleet of 92 aircraft, including 22 A319, 22 A320, 17 A330, 6 A321, 4 A340, 8 AT72 and 13 E190.
