Skywest purchases 25 Embraer E175

SkyWest, the parent company of US regional carriers SkyWest Airlines and ExpressJet Airlines, will purchase 25 regional jets Embraer E175.

Embraer has sold more than 360 E175 to the airline operators in North America since January 2013.

Embraer announced on Wednesday, September 6th that it has signed an agreement with SkyWest for a firm order of 25 E175, which will be delivered from March 2018 onwards, for a value at the catalog price of 1.1 billion dollars. The order will be officially entered in the order book of the company in the third quarter of 2017. 15 of the 25 devices will be operated under the Delta Connection brand. They will be special configuration models E175 (SC) of 70 seats. The E175 SC can be adapted in a configuration of 76 seats whenever needed. Ten other aircraft which are dedicated to Alaska Airlines will be configured with 76 seats.

With this new contract, Embraer has sold more than 360 E175 to the airline operators in North America since January 2013, representing more than 80% of all orders in the 76-seat jet segment, the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer said in its statement.
