Chengdu, China - On May 21, Sichuan Airlines included one more Airbus A350-900 in its wide-body fleet. The aircraft was delivered to the airline by the American lessor ALC on a long-term lease agreement.
This is the fifth A350-900 for Sichuan and first Airbus A350-900 delivered in China by the American Lease Corporation. Sichuan Airlines has nine more A350-900 in its order book waiting to be delivered.
Sichuan Airlines is an all-Airbus operator with 152 narrow-body and wide-body jets in its fleet. In addition to 46 Airbus on order, the company also has 20 Comac C919 in its order book with the Chinese aircraft manufacturer.
Sichuan' s operations are mainly focused on East Asia. The airline flies from Chengdu International to the major cities in the region such as Hong Kong, Tokyo, Beijing, Osaka, Seoul, Shanghai, Taipei, Guangzhou, Lhasa, Kunming, Urumqi, Kathmandu.
International destinations include Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Bangkok in Asia-Pacific, Cairo, Dubai, Tel Aviv in MENA region, Prague, Zurich, Copenhagen in Europe and Vancouver, Los Angeles in North America.
