Moscow - S7 Technics completed the first maintenance for an Airbus A320neo aircraft. The Russian company is the first MRO provider for the Airbus A320neo aircraft in the Russian Federation and the CIS (The Commonwealth of Independent States) countries.
The maintenance (7500 FH / 5000 FC / 24-month 1С-check) was carried out at the Moscow Domodedovo airport facilities of the company for an Airbus A320neo of the S7 Airlines.
This first heavy maintenance for the Airbus's new generation single-aisle jet was conducted by 25 S7 Technics engineers in six days.
”S7 Technics' employees have completed additional courses along with on-site training as part of the company’s A320neo heavy maintenance personnel training program,” said Denis Bogdanov, the leading engineer for airframes and engines at S7 Technics.
Another S7 Technics facility at Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport will soon begin offering heavy maintenance checks for the Airbus A320neo.
“We are getting ourselves ready for even heavier checks on this aircraft type that imply maintenance works at six-year intervals. Those mean more thorough checks of the airframe structural elements according to the manufacturer’s recommendations,” Bogdanov added.
S7 Airlines currently operates 14 Airbus A320neo family aircraft (ten A320neo, four A321neo).
S7 Technics is the largest MRO Company in Russia, including CIS countries.
