Casablanca - Royal Air Maroc will wet-lease a Boeing 777-300ER from Qatar Airways to serve its daily Casablanca - Montreal route later this summer.
Royal Air Maroc will use the leased Boeing 777-300ER between Casablanca International and Montreal-Trudeau from June 21 to September 14.
The 777-300ER equipped with 24 Business Class seats and 388 Economy seats. It will replace the airline's Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner on that route.
RAM currently operates five Boeing 787-8, two Boeing 787-9, and two Boeing 767-300ER on its long-haul routes.
In addition to the Boeing 777-300ER from Qatar Airways, the airline will also wet-lease one Airbus A330-200 from the Portuguese charter operator for the summer season.
North American airline operator has also wet-leased two widebodies (Airbus A330-300) from Qatar Airways to fill the gap caused by its grounded Boeing 737 MAX jets.
Due to the ongoing airspace restrictions from the neighbouring countries, Qatari carrier proceeds leasing its planes to other airlines to compensate its losses.
