Republic Airways finalizes an order for 100 Embraer E175

Sao Paulo - American Republic Airways finalizes an order agreement for one hundred Embraer E175 that was signed at the Farnborough Airshow in June.

The order is valued at $ 4.7 billion at list prices, but it is common for companies to receive notable discounts on volume orders. The first E-jet from this order will join the Republic Airways' fleet in 2020.

The airline also keeps an option for another hundred E175 jets with the right to convert them to the E175-E2, the improved version of the type which is currently in the certification process.

Republic Airways is the largest operator of Embraer E-jets in the world with 190 aircraft. The company operates regional flights with subsidiary Republic Airline for American Eagle, Delta Connect and United Express.
