Beijing - Hunnu Air becomes the first Mongolian customer of Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer. The domestic airline adds four E190 jets to its fleet leased from the Chinese leasing company CDB Aviation.
With the arrival of Embraer 190 jets, the Mongolian airline plans to expand its network to international destinations such as China and Russia.
The new planes of the company are configured to accommodate six seats in Business Class and 92 in Economy Class.
The airline launched its first domestic service in 2011 with two Fokker 50 between Ulaanbaatar and Bayankhongor followed by others over time.
In January 2012, the airline leased two Airbus A319 and launched scheduled international flights to Tokyo, Bangkok, Shanghai and Hong Kong. In July 2013 a third Fokker 50 joined the fleet.
As of today, Hunnu Air's fleet consists of two ATR 72-500 only.
