Sao Paulo, On Aug 29, Boeing and GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes praised the first fully equipped 737 MAX 8 that was delivered to the Brazilian carrier earlier this year.

During the ceremony held in Sao Paulo, Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes announced plans to use its 737 MAX aircraft on international routes. Thanks to its extended range, GOL will launch scheduled flights from capital Brasilia and Fortaleza to Miami and Orlando.

Today is an exciting day for the entire GOL team. We are happy to welcome the 737 MAX 8. We can further improve our operational efficiency by flying a young, modern and safe fleet, while also lowering the cost of air travel and expanding our network to new international destinations,
said Paulo Kakinoff, Chief Executive Officer of GOL.

The Brazilian operator's 737 MAX 8 is improved by onboard products and services, such as broadband internet connection and the Boeing Sky Interior cabin. The airline's second 737MAX 8, which was delivered last week, is currently being equipped with the same cabin amenities. Both aircraft are configured to accommodate 186 passengers.

GOL has 133 more 737 MAX in its order book waiting to be delivered as part of its strategic fleet renewal program. When finished, the carrier will be the largest 737 MAX operator in Latin America with135 aircraft including both MAX 8 (105 units) and MAX 10 (30 units) variants.

GOL is a pioneer in bringing affordable fares to Latin America since its inception. We are honored to have such a great partner officially join the Boeing 737 MAX family and serve as one of its ambassadors in the region,
