First Boeing 737 MAX 9 for Turkish Airlines

Istanbul - Turkish flag carrier Turkish Airlines took delivery of the first of ten Boeing 737 MAX 9 on order from Boeing.

The MAX 9 registered TC-LYA (MSN 60062) carried out a ferry flight from Boeing's Renton factory to Istanbul Ataturk International Airport with stopovers on Goose Bay and Reykjavik Keflavik airports.

The aircraft has been put into service between Ankara, Istanbul, and Izmir for crew-training. The new MAX 9 jet of the Turkish national carrier will be deployed on routes to Bishkek, Dublin, Muscat from March 31st, Basel, Mulhouse, Freiburg from April 1st, Sharm el Sheikh, Malta, from April 29, Birmingham, Tiblisi from May 27, Odesa from May 29, Kazan, Cologne, Bonn from June 24, Thessaloniki from June 25.
