Toulouse - Royal Brunei Airlines took possession of the first of seven Airbus A320neo it ordered four years ago.

On May 24, Airbus delivered the first A320neo of the Royal Brunei Airlines. The A320neo of the Sultanate of Brunei's national carrier will accommodate 12 passengers in Business class, 18 in Economy Plus and 120 in Economy.

Like the six others ordered in 2014, it is equipped with CFM International LEAP-1A26 engines. Royal Brunei Airlines will operate the A320neos on its regional network.

Apart from its base in Bandar Seri Begawan, the operator's regional network includes Singapore, Bangkok, Surabaya and Bali in Indonesia, Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia.

Royal Brunei Airlines currently operates six A320. On the long-haul, it has four of the five Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners expected, which are deployed to Melbourne, Dubai, and London. The London route will be active from the end of October.
