Berlin - On January 15, the low-cost German airline operator Eurowings presented the first Airbus A340-300 with its colors. The aircraft will be deployed between Dusseldorf and New York from April 2018.
The Lufthansa low-cost subsidiary presented its first A340-300 registered D-AIGY (MSN 335). The aircraft came from the Lufthansa fleet which had received nine copies of the same type in June 2000. It will be stationed in Düsseldorf where Eurowings will deploy it temporarily from February to March for flights to Palma de Mallorca and Vienna. From April 28, Eurowings will deploy the A340 between Düsseldorf and New York-JFK. The aircraft will also be the first aircraft of the company with a real business class.
