Tel Aviv, Israel - Israeli flag carrier El Al showed off its first Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. The aircraft named 'Ramat Hasharon' landed at Ben-Gurion International Airport on Nov. 29.
The plane is the first of four Boeing 787-8 jets from the order book of the Israeli airline with the American aircraft manufacturer.
El Al currently operates 13 787-9 jets from Boeing's Dreamliner family.
El-Al's 787-8 is configured to accommodate up to 233 passengers - 20 in Business Class, 30 in Premium Class and 183 in Economy.
The remaining three 787-8 will join the operator's fleet by March 2020. The planes will be deployed on long-haul routes to Europe, the Americas, and the Far East Asia
All-Boeing operator El Al constantly expands its long-haul fleet with new widebody jets from Boeing. Alongside the newly arrived 787-8 and 12 787-9, the carrier has six Boeing 777-200ER in its fleet.
