Piarco, Trinidad and Tobago - Caribbean Airlines, the state-owned airline and flag carrier of Trinidad and Tobago, took delivery of one more ATR 72-600 (MSN 1318).
The aircraft became the sixth aircraft of the same type in the Caribbean carrier's fleet. The aircraft is leased from the Danish lessor Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC).
Caribbean Airlines will operate the aircraft on its regional routes like the other turboprops in its fleet. The ATR 72-600 can accommodate 72 passengers.
Along with its ATR 72-600s, the airline has 12 Boeing 737-800 jets in its fleet. 12 Boeing 737 MAX 8s are waiting to join the airline's fleet when the deliveries are resumed for the globally grounded aircraft.
