Cargo plane crashes in Ukraine, five dead

Lviv, Ukraine - An Antonov-12 cargo plane crashed near Ukraine's Lviv airport. There were eight people on board, at least five were killed, local media reports.

The aircraft of the Ukraine Air Alliance was en route from Vigo in Spain to Istanbul, Turkey. It reportedly ran out of fuel before a planned stopover at Lviv International Airport.

The An-12 disappeared from radar at 07:10 local time (04:10 GMT) while approaching Lviv international airport. It crashed 1.5km from the airport near a football stadium and a cemetery.
