Boeing makes scores with its freighter jets in Farnborough


Farnborough - The world's largest aircraft manufacturer Boeing continues to receive large amounts of orders for its freighter aircraft on the second day of Farnborough Air Show as well. The Russian logistics group Volga-Dnepr and its subsidiary Cargologic announced today an order of 29 777F.

On the first day of the world's biggest air show in Farnborough UK, Boeing had already announced 14 777F to the German DHL Express and another five to the Gulf-based carrier Qatar Airways.

The order from Russian company for 29 jets adds up a total value of 9.8 billion US dollars at price lists; however, high discounts are common in orders with large amounts.

Volga-Dnepr also confirmed a previously announced order for five Boeing 747-8.
