Moscow, Russia - Cargo operators Aviastar-TU and AZee Air are planning to add new freighter planes to their fleets.
Next year, Russia's Aviastar-TU will add some additional Boeing 757-200PFs to its existing fleet.
The Zhukovsky-based Russian cargo specialist currently operates one Boeing 757-200PCF, two Boeing 757SF, and four Russian-made Tu-204 freighters.
Aviastar-TU serves mainly on domestic routes on behalf of Russian Post. The carrier also operates one of its planes between Russia and China in cooperation with the Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba.
One Tu-204 is based on the Leipzig-Halle Airport and operates on behalf of DHL Express.
Another CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) freight specialist AZee Air is now looking to acquire two Boeing 737 freighters. Kazakh company's current fleet comprises two Russian-made Il-76TD.
The planes are expected to join the Almaty-based operator's fleet this month. Previously, the carrier had planned to lease Boeing 747s instead of the 737s.
Azee Air carries out its operations across the CIS, Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
