Paris, France - Guring the Paris Air Show, the turboprop aircraft manufacturer ATR received 17 orders from three customers for its STOL capable ATR 42-600.
The orders came from three launch customers - Air Tahiti (2), Elix Aviation Capital (10), and one undisclosed customer (5).
ATR introduced the STOL (Short Take Off and Landing) variant of the ATR 42-600 at the Paris Air Show for the first time.
The aircraft will enable regional airline operators to use runways for takeoffs and landings as short as 2625 ft (800 meters).
In addition to the ATR 42-600 STOL, ATR has also accumulated for its standard 42-600s and 72-600s. The Danish lessor Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with the Franco-Italian Aircraft manufacturer for 35 ATR 72-600, with 35 options and purchase rights for further 35 copies.
ATR has also recorded an order for one ATR 42-600 from Colombian Easyfly and orders for 22 ATR 72-600 from at least one unknown client.
