Tórshavn - On February 13, the leasing company Air Lease Corp. (ALC) announced that it had placed an Airbus A320neo at Atlantic Airways, based at Vagar Airport in the Faroe Islands.

The new aircraft will be configured to accommodate 174 passengers in one class. The Faroese airline operator already operates a 168-seat A320 and two 144-seat A319s on a network of 12 destinations, including three in Scandinavia, three in Spain and one in France.

Atlantic Airways connects the Faroe Islands in the North Atlantic with multiple destinations in Scandinavia, and a growing network of roads in Europe. The A320neo will help add capacity and efficiency to Atlantic's fully Airbus fleet,
said Steven F. Udvar-Házy, ALC's executive chairman, said in a statement.
