An Airbus Beluga makes emergency landing at Toulouse-Blagnac

Toulouse - On March 12, an Airbus Beluga was forced to return due to an emergency while flying to the UK from France.

The aircraft registered F-GSTD was on route from Toulouse to Chester when pilots noticed a technical problem. The crew declared an emergency over northwest France and turned back. The plane landed at Toulouse-Blagnac airport safely at 9.26 AM local.


An Airbus spokesman said the flight BGA 114 from Toulouse to Chester, UK returned to Toulouse in mid-flight due to a technical problem detected during flight.

"The decision to return to Toulouse was made by the flight crew to ensure quicker servicing of the aircraft."

Airbus recently launched the Beluga XL, the larger version of the current Beluga model.
