Video: American's first Airbus A321neo arrives at Pittsburg International

Pittsburg - American Airlines' first Airbus A321neo arrived at Pittsburg International. The aircraft is the first of 100 A321neo on order.

The very first A321neo of the American took off from Airbus's Hamburg delivery center early on February 1st and arrived at Pittsburg International Airport at 11:51 EST. The aircraft will be prepared there for its first commercial flight from Phoenix to Orlando on April 2.

The MSN8647 is equipped with CFM International's LEAP-1A engines which are 15% more fuel efficient than the previous generation engines.

American's A321neo is configured to accommodate 196 passengers in total - 20 in First Class, 47 in Main Cabin Extra and 129 in the Coach.
