ALC converts some Boeing 737 MAX orders to 787 Dreamliner

Los Angeles, California - American Leasing company Air Lease Corporation (ALC) has converted several orders for the Boeing 737 MAX to the larger 787 Dreamliner.

During the presentation of its quarterly figures, Air Lease Corporation stated that it replaced its 15 737 MAX jets on order with five Boeing 787.

The conversion of some 737 MAXs ordered before makes us think that the lessor has no hope of quick recertification of the aircraft that was two deadly crashes due to the anti-stall prevention system failure.

The company already assumes that it will not receive 737 MAXs this year.

ALC still has 135 737 MAX jets on order from Boeing.

As of June 30, The ALC fleet consists of 297 aircraft, including fifteen 737 MAX 8 and 21 787-9.
