Toulouse - Airbus has received an order for fifteen A350-900 in May. The identity of the customer has not yet been revealed, but the order is already included in the Airbus' backlog.

It is finally good news for Airbus' A350 program. The European aircraft manufacturer didn't receive new orders of the type for months. Besides, American Airlines canceled an order for 22, A350 earlier this year.

In May, Airbus received orders for a total of 25 aircraft. In addition to the fifteen A350, an A330-200 Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) for a military customer and nine aircraft from the A320 series for Lufthansa Group.

Until May, Airbus received 111 orders from the beginning of the year, including 73 A320neo, 22 A319neo, and fourteen A380.

Last month, Airbus delivered 51 aircraft to its customers: 41 aircraft from the A320 series, including 22 neo, Seven A350-900, and three A330.

In May, new users of the A320neo series became Iberia, Jazeera Airways, Loong Air, Philippine Airlines and Royal Brunei Airlines, while IAG subsidiary OpenSkies became a new user of the A330.
