During the Farnborough Air Show in the UK last month, Airbus closed deals for a total of 431 aircraft. They were mostly provisional contracts with leasing companies and airlines, which have yet to be completed.

The eight A350-900 bring overall orders for the A350 XWB to 890 aircraft from 46 customers.

In the first seven months of the year, Airbus received orders for 269 aircraft. Orders for 55 aircraft were canceled, bringing Airbus to a net number of 214.

Airbus also announced that it had delivered 77 aircraft to fifty customers in July - 63 A320, (including 44 neo family aircraft), five A330, six A350 XWB, one A380 and two A220.

As of 31 July, Airbus’ overall backlog consists of 7,464 aircraft.
