London, UK - According to the rumors, Airbus and British carrier Virging Atlantic is close to a an agreement for the order of A330neos.
Virgin Atlantic has been evaluating both Airbus' A330neo and Boeing's 787 Dreamliner for the upgrade of airline's wide-body fleet.
According to sources who are close to the matter, Airbus and Virgin Atlantic is about to sign a deal Airbus's revamped A330 model.
The British airline operator is said to order 6 to ten aircraft.
Virgin Atlantic already has 17 Boeing 787-9 and in its fleet. In addition to its Dreamliners, the airline also operates 12 older generation Airbus A330 (four A330-200, eight A330-300).
