Montreal - Air Canada will launch seasonal flights between Vancouver and Auckland in the coming weeks, the first route to New Zealand.
As of December 12, 2019, the national airline of Canada will offer four weekly flights between its Vancouver base and Auckland International Airport, operated by a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner configured to accommodate 20 passengers in Business class, 21 in Premium and 214 in Economy.

Departures are scheduled on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 11:45 PM local to arrive at 11:05 local two days after the departure due to the time zone difference although the flight takes only14h and 20m.
The return flights will take off from Auckland on Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 2:40 PM to land the same day at 6:40 AM after a 13 hour flight this time.
Air Canada will compete with another Star Alliance partner Air New Zealand on this route.
