Air Baltic's Boeing 737 gets stuck in the snow
Moscow - Slide off at Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport: a Boeing 737 of Air Baltic missed the exit from the runway and got stuck in the snow. No one injured.
On December 6, The landing at the Moscow Sheremetyevo airport was uneventful, but when the flight BT428 of Air Baltic left the track and wanted to turn on a taxi-way, it fell off the tarmac. The pilots missed the exit and drove the nose wheel into the snow-covered grass, where the B737 of Air Baltic got stuck as the news agency Interfax reported.
Apparently, violent winds prevailed at the time of the incident and the surface was slippery. Runway 06L / 24R remained closed for several hours. Nothing happened to any of the 52 passengers and the crew member on board.
The flight BT428 had departed from Riga International Airport, Latvia.
