St. Petersburg, Russia - Russian flag carrier carried out its first commercial flight between Moscow and St. Petersburg with its brand-new Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
On March 6, St. Petersburg Pulkovo Airport welcomed the first commercial flight of the Aeroflot's Airbus A350-900. The aircraft will continue to perform scheduled flights between St. Petersburg and Moscow in March before being deployed on the airline's long-haul routes.
Aeroflot's A350-900 is configured to accommodate up to 316 passengers in a three-class cabin layout - 28 in Business Class with full-flat seats, 24 Comfort Class with extra legroom and 264 Economy Class.
Aeroflot is expected to take delivery of 14 Airbus A350-900 more. 11 of them will be delivered by the end of this year. The previously ordered eight A350-800 before the program was canceled by Airbus, will most probably be converted to -900 or -1000.
