Moscow - On July 30, Russian flag carrier Aeroflot has taken delivery of its new A321 (VQ-BTT) equipped with wing-tips known as Sharklets.
The aircraft is baptized in honor of Alexander Gomelsky, the father of Soviet and Russian basketball.
Aeroflot's A321 was configured in a two-class composition with 16 seats in business and 170 in the economy. The Russian carrier will operate the aircraft across its European and domestic routes network.
Airbus' A321s are known with the highest reliability, safety and comfort standards and are recognized among the best for mid-range routes.
Sky Team member airline of Russia serves 155 destinations in 54 countries on 247 routes. In 2017, Aeroflot carried 32.8 million passengers (50.1 million passengers as Aeroflot Group including subsidiaries).
