Istanbul - Yesterday, a Royal Air Maroc Boeing 787 hit a parked Turkish Airlines 777-300ER at Istanbul Ataturk Airport while taxiing, Airport Haber reports.

On August 9, having arrived at Istanbul Ataturk airport from Casablanca, A Royal Air Maroc's Boeing 787 hit a parked 777-300ER of Turkish Airlines at 6.10 PM local.

No injuries reported but the incident caused significant damage to the 787’s starboard wing as well as the AFT structure and auxiliary power unit (APU) of the Turkish 777.

An amateur video shows how the Air Maroc's Dreamliner clips its right wing against the 777’s tail, sending debris along the tarmac.

This is the second wing-clipping incident at Istanbul Ataturk Airport that Turkish Airlines involved in less than four months.

On May 13, An Asiana A330 had hit a parked Turkish A321 on the apron.
