A Korean Airbus A220-300 makes emergency landing due to engine failure


Busan - An Airbus A220-300 from Korean Air returned to departure airport due to engine failure.

The flight KE753 of the Korean national airline took off from Busan Gimhae International Airport for Nagoya, Japan at 01.01 PM local. After half an hour, pilots spotted a problem at the engine number 1 (PW1524G) over the Sea of Japan.

The crew decided to return to Busan. The aircraft landed at Gimhae International Airport safely.

During the initial investigation, a small damage was spottes on the LPT (Low-Pressure Turbine). The cause of the damage is yet unknown.
