Launching May 24, United will stand as the pioneer in offering direct flights between the U.S. and Faro, Portugal, originating from New York/Newark. This initiative paves the way for American travelers to immerse themselves in Portugal's enchanting Algarve region, renowned for its picturesque beaches and rich historical landmarks. Operating on a Boeing 757-200 four times a week, this addition further consolidates United's dominance in Portugal-bound travel. The airline's existing routes encompass year-round service from New York/Newark to Lisbon and seasonal connections covering Washington/Dulles-Lisbon, New York/Newark-Porto, and New York/Newark-Ponta Delgada in the Azores.

European Delights:

Come May 23, United will rejuvenate its seasonal New York/Newark to Reykjavik service, dormant since the summer of 2022, with daily flights via a Boeing 757-200. Alongside this, March 30 will witness an added daily frequency to Brussels from New York/Newark on a Boeing 757-200, while Washington/Dulles to Rome gets an additional daily slot from May 23 on a Boeing 767-300. To top it off, the New York/Newark to Malaga route will shift to a daily schedule starting May 2, utilizing a Boeing 757-200.

Given the unyielding demand for summer transatlantic travel, United's early resumption of certain in-demand routes aims to cater to the rising appetite for springtime European excursions. A few notable early birds include routes to Lisbon, Barcelona, and Rome from Washington Dulles commencing February 15, and connections to Nice, Rome, Milan, Naples, Malaga, and San Francisco from various U.S. hubs launching between March 30 and May 2.
