This expansion, effective from November 4, 2023, utilizes all three of the airline's slots at Sydney airport, facilitating the increment in seating capacity in its third daily flight.

Emirates' third daily flight to Sydney will feature a three-class configuration A380 service offering 489 seats, replacing the existing Boeing 777-300ER currently operational on flights EK 416 and 417. This change translates to an extra 260 daily seats, broadening connection prospects to and from Dubai and enhancing accessibility to sought-after destinations spanning Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The introduction complements Emirates' two other A380 services to Sydney, which boast a four-class setup inclusive of the latest Premium Economy cabin.

As it stands, Emirates is at the helm of 63 weekly services directed to Australia, facilitating approximately 56,000 seats to and from its principal gateways. While Melbourne and Sydney enjoy thrice-daily operations, Brisbane benefits from double-daily flights. Moreover, Perth witnesses daily operations of the renowned A380, besides the airline's extended services connecting Melbourne to Singapore, and Sydney to Christchurch, presenting the sole A380 experience across the Trans-Tasman.
