Breeze Airways Pauses Nonstop Disneyland-Disney World Route

ORLANDO —Disney fans heading between Disneyland and Walt Disney World in Florida will need to seek alternate routes as Breeze Airways has decided to temporarily suspend its nonstop flights connecting John Wayne Airport to Orlando International Airport. The suspension, as confirmed to KTLA by company representatives, is slated from Oct. 3, 2023, to Feb. 14, 2024.

This decision wasn't entirely unforeseen. Breeze Airways had previously scheduled a pause in this direct connection from Nov. 14 to Feb. 14, 2024. However, an accelerated timetable was adopted after John Wayne Airport advised all its operating airlines to trim their end-of-year capacity. As a result, the airline advanced its pause schedule.

The direct flight, which has been consistently operational for eight months since its inauguration in February, links SNA to MCO. Despite this interim halt, Breeze Airways remains optimistic. When flights resume post-pause, the company anticipates its availability to extend through the summer of 2024, and possibly even into the fall.

The airline's planning seems aligned with its leisure-centric approach. As Breeze Airways' representatives elucidated to KTLA, some of their scheduling revolves around prominent holidays, summer breaks, and school vacations.

In light of this unexpected rescheduling, the airline has pledged to prioritize its customers. Travelers who have already secured seats on flights from Oct. 4 to Nov. 14 will be compensated with a full refund.
