TOULOUSE, FRANCE — Air Algérie aims to enhances its operational efficiency with new Airbus widebody aircraft.


Air Algérie, Algeria's flagship airline, has inked a firm order for seven widebody aircraft, bolstering its commercial expansion efforts.

The new order will empower Air Algérie to fully leverage the versatile Airbus product line, enhancing its regional services and laying the groundwork for ambitious transcontinental routes. Operating the A330neo alongside the A350-1000, Air Algérie stands to enjoy operational advantages including a 25 percent reduction in fuel consumption per seat and increased flexibility due to the unique commonality among Airbus aircraft models.

Both the A330neo and the A350 showcase the acclaimed Airspace cabin, which provides passengers with an elevated comfort level, aesthetic appeal, and thoughtful design. Features include enhanced personal space, larger overhead bins, a new lighting system, and access to state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment and connectivity systems.

Powered by the latest Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines, the A330neo Family, specifically the A330-900, boasts a non-stop range of 7,200 nautical miles or 13,334 kilometers. As of April 2023, the A330 Family had accrued 1,775 firm orders from 130 global customers, making it the most popular widebody family ever and a dominant force in the short- and medium-haul market.

By April 2023, the A350 Family had received 967 firm orders from 54 customers worldwide, cementing its status as one of the most successful widebody aircraft to date.
