The Airbus A220-300 has already transported approximately 11.26 million passengers on airBaltic flights, clocking more than 130,000 trips and over 280,000 block hours. In May 2020, the airline streamlined its operations by exclusively utilizing the Airbus A220-300, taking advantage of the aircraft's enhanced efficiency and reduced complexity.
The Baltic carrier says the A220-300's performance has exceeded airBaltic's expectations, offering improved fuel efficiency, overall performance, and passenger experience.
Equipped with a state-of-the-art air filtering system featuring High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters, the A220-300 ensures optimal cabin air quality from boarding to deplaning. The system circulates air at a rate that changes the cabin air 20-30 times per hour.
Furthermore, the aircraft boasts a noise footprint four times smaller than its competitors and is currently the greenest commercial aircraft globally. Its transparent declaration of life-cycle environmental impact contributes to a 20% reduction in CO2 emissions and a 50% reduction in NOX emissions.
