The newly acquired A321neo took off from Hamburg at 8:08 AM and landed in Delhi at 4:20 PM UTC on April 29 after a nonstop flight as AI1112 with additional fuel onboard. The Indian flag carrier has surpassed Emirates in offering more flights between Dubai and Delhi and Mumbai, further expanding its presence in the Gulf region.
In addition to the A321neo, Air India is slated to take delivery of another Airbus A321 and a fourth Ex-Delta Air Lines Boeing 777 this week. The carrier has also received four A350 aircraft from Aeroflot, with their Manufacturer's Serial Numbers being MSN 554, 558, 585, and the recently added MSN 589. Air India has also secured a lease agreement for six ex-Etihad Boeing 777-300ERs. Four of these aircraft are stored at Victorville, California.
