This sophisticated 2,000 m2 facility augments LTTS' capacity for aircraft engine maintenance and repair in the region to an impressive 10,000 m2. This expansion allows LTTS to enhance its portfolio by incorporating Engine Manifolds into its range of specialized services. Engine Manifolds play a crucial role in distributing air or fluids for peak engine performance. Damaged or worn manifolds can compromise engine performance and result in heightened emissions. Since commencing operations in Ireland in 1992, LTTS has consistently grown, adding 106 employees to its workforce in the past two years alone and now boasting over 300 professionals across its Shannon, Kildare, and Dublin locations.
The new Shannon facility has already generated 25 additional positions, and according to LTTS CEO Michael Malewski, recruitment remains a top priority as the company pursues growth and diversification. Malewski expressed enthusiasm for the impact this facility will have on the Irish market, emphasizing the importance of broadening their product portfolio and bolstering manufacturing capabilities to better meet customer demands.
The swift diversification and expansion of LTTS' core MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) services portfolio demonstrate the team's unwavering dedication to realizing the project's success. Malewski is confident in the exceptional talent present at each of their three locations, but stresses the need for additional skilled professionals to support their rapid post-pandemic recovery. He underscored the demand for seasoned aviation engineers and qualified mechanics and engineers eager to transition into the aviation sector.
At the new facility's launch, Mr. Malewski gratefully acknowledged the Irish government, the IDA, Shannon Chamber, and Shannon Airport Group for their sustained support in promoting LTTS' growth in Ireland. He credited the collaborative efforts of key stakeholders for the realization of the company's latest ambitions in the country, highlighting the vast opportunities LTTS has in Ireland and their prime position to deliver groundbreaking solutions propelling the aviation industry forward.
This announcement follows the recent unveiling of Lufthansa Technik's Mobile Engine Services facility in Kildare, further demonstrating the company's commitment to innovation and expansion.
