FRANKFURT, GERMANY — This winter, Lufthansa is gearing up to introduce new Airbus A380 destinations from Munich, starting with daily flights to Los Angeles, California, from October 5.

In a special premiere leading up to the winter flight schedule on October 28, the airline will also deploy its first Airbus A380 from Munich to Bangkok, Thailand, increasing seat capacity on this route by nearly 75 percent in comparison to the A350. The A380 will feature 8 First Class, 78 Business Class, and 52 Premium Economy seats, offering a superior premium product than ever before.

In addition to these new destinations, Lufthansa is set to expand its service to India by adding Bangalore to its Munich roster, complementing existing routes to Delhi and Bombay. The southern Indian metropolis will be serviced by an Airbus A350 registered LH764 departing Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 12:10 p.m.

Passengers flying with Lufthansa can expect to experience the Airbus A350-900, one of the Lufthansa Group's most advanced and fuel-efficient long-haul aircraft. Furthermore, after a significant hiatus, Lufthansa will resume flights to Hyderabad from Frankfurt, reestablishing a direct connection to India's pharmaceutical and high-tech industries. More details will be announced in mid-May.

This expansion will bring Lufthansa's total Indian subcontinent destinations served from its Frankfurt and Munich hubs to five during the upcoming winter season.
