The engine selection for the new aircraft will be announced later by the airline. Samir Rzayev, First Vice-President of AZAL CJSC, expressed satisfaction with the ongoing cooperation with Airbus and the airline's commitment to strengthen bilateral ties.

The A320neo Family, with its fuel efficiency and cost-effective solutions, remains a popular choice for airlines worldwide.
Azerbaijan Airlines currently operates a fleet of 15 Airbus aircraft, including 4 A319ceo, 6 A320ceo, 2 A340s, and 3 A320neo models. The airline plans to use the A320neo Family aircraft to expand its domestic and international route network.
The A320neo Family incorporates advanced technologies such as new-generation engines and Sharklets, resulting in at least a 20% reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. With around 8,700 orders from 135 customers, the A320neo Family jets is the best-selling airliners of the European aircraft manufacturer.
