Tampa and West Palm Beach are the latest cities to be connected to Wilmington, North Carolina, with existing routes to Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Baltimore, and New Haven.
Andrew Levy, Chairman and CEO of Avelo Airlines, expressed enthusiasm for the company's growth, citing strong community support and consistently full flights. The new routes to Palm Beach and Tampa will further enhance Avelo's affordable, convenient, and reliable air travel offerings for Coastal NC residents.
The first flights to Palm Beach are set to commence on June 22, operating on Thursdays and Sundays, while Tampa flights will begin the following day, running on Mondays and Fridays. All flights will be served by Boeing 737 family jets, featuring a full-economy cabin configuration.
In just two years, Avelo has grown to operate 15 aircraft from the 737 family, including seven 737-700s and eight 737-800s. The carrier's rapid expansion strategy has focused on the lucrative Florida market, where its reputation for holiday, leisure, and pleasant climate attracts a steady stream of travelers. In addition to the aforementioned destinations, Avelo also serves Fort Myers and Sarasota from New Haven, Raleigh-Durham, and Wilmington, Delaware.
