EDINBURG, UK — Edinburgh Airport has revealed plans to extend its Air Canada service between the Scottish capital and Toronto, beginning June 2. The daily summer flights will continue three times a week during the winter season until January 8, with a planned return in early spring 2024.


Air Canada asserts its dominance as the airline with the highest number of daily UK-Canada flights. The Edinburgh-Toronto route will utilize Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, operated by Air Canada's mainline service.

Stephen Gerrard, UK and Ireland Sales General Manager for Air Canada, expressed delight at the reinstatement of non-stop flights between Edinburgh and Toronto. He emphasized the benefits of the extended service for Scottish customers, offering a direct connection to Canada throughout the year and enabling seamless travel across North America. Gerrard encouraged potential customers to plan and book their trips confidently.

Edinburgh Airport's Chief Commercial Officer (Aero), Kate Sherry, shared her enthusiasm for the service extension into the winter months. She also expressed appreciation for Air Canada's confidence in the robust Edinburgh market, which persists through January. Sherry underscored Toronto's year-round appeal, further emphasizing the value of this flight service expansion.
