TOULOUSE, FRANCE — Airbus is holding a public design competition for the livery of its new A350 Freighter jet that is expected to make its first flight in 2024.
The submissions for creative designs are opened today. Designers will be able to submit their works until November 28. The winner will be announced on March 15 next year.
“We are inviting professional designers, amateur artists or students, creative talents from all around the world to design the livery of our new A350F,”
Airbus said.
The planemaker has issued a number of requirements that the design must meet. According to it, the Airbus and A350F logos must be “clearly visible” and remain unmodified. The artists will only be able to use the fuselage and vertical fin for their designs.
The competitors should also take into account that the design must take the attention of customers from around the world.
