BELGRADE, SERBIA — Air Serbia gears up to take delivery of its first ATR 72-600 turboprop. The aircraft with Air Serbia's colors is currently performing test flights before the delivery.

The aircraft, which was originally built for the Malaysian carrier in 2015, was idled between 2016 and 2019. It was then operated by the French regional airline Amelia Aviation on domestic routes until December 2021.

Air Serbia is expected to take delivery of six ATR 72-600. The airline already operates three ATR 72-200, two ATR 72-500. The company returned one leased -500 variant to its owner last year.
