TAIPEI, TAIWANTaiwan's Taipei-based regional operator Mandarin Airlines pushes forward the planned retirement of its E190 fleet. The carrier will cease E190 operations at the end of this month.

The carrier will conduct the last E190 passenger flight from Penghu to Taipei Sung Shan. Following the required maintenance, all three E190 jets in the airline's fleet will be returned to their lessors. China Airlines' regional branch had originally planned to continue operating its E190s until the end of 2023.

Following the retirement of its E190s, Mandarin Airlines' fleet will comprise nine ATR72-600s only. In the coming months, the airline is expected to lease several Boeing 737-800s from its parent.
