Azorra delivers the first of six Embraer E170 jets to American Airlines

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA — Florida-based commercial aircraft leasing company Azorra has delivered the first of six Embraer E170 jets on order for American Airlines.

The E170 (MSN 17000296), which was previously operated by BA CityFlyer will be operated by the American's wholly-owned regional subsidiary Envoy.

“We are thrilled to deliver the first Embraer E170s to American’s regional fleet. These aircraft will replace smaller regional jets and compliment Envoy’s larger capacity E175s,” said Michael Davis, Azorra’s Chief Marketing Officer.

The remaining five aircraft will join the envoy's fleet by the end of this year.
